MgA. Kateřina Bláhová

Kateřina Bláhová Kateřina Bláhová studied scenography at JAMU in Brno. She works as a costume and scenic designer and has been a lecturer at the Scenography Studio since 2000. She worked at HaDivadlo in Brno, cooperated with the Divatlo v 7 a půl, was a guest designer in many theaters all around the Czech Republic and worked with directors A. Goldfl am, J. A. Pitínský, O. Elbel, M. T. Růžička, J. Krofta, D. Jařab, A. Staňek. She designs costumes for opera together with director Karla Staubertová. She designed costumes for several Czech Television productions. In the last several years, she has regularly worked with director Viktor Kollár at the Ján Palárik Theatre in Trnava.

Atmosphere, free associations, inspiring materials collection, analysis and naming, conception, appropriate art technique, context, gestures, expression, contrast, character relationships, shape, cut, material, colors and their possible meanings, make up, accessories.

FUNDAMENTALS OF SCENOGRAPHY

(for the second year Stage technology students) The aim of the course is to make students familiar with scenographers’ ways of thinking about theatre and with scenographers’ work, using small art tasks. A brief overview of the 20th century fine art history in the first semester, the most important personalities in 20th century Czech scenography in the second semester.
